Shoes for Planet EarthShoes for Planet Earth is a Sydney based charity that collects used sports shoes and distributes them to those in need, both in Australia and around the World. We send these shoes to disadvantaged sporting groups, shelters for the homeless and women’s refuges throughout Australia and internationally we send shoes to Burundi, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, South Africa, Togo and Uganda. Having a pair of shoes can change a person’s life. We can improve their self-esteem, give them warm feet, enable them to participate in sporting activities as well as walk to school or work. This provides them with dignity and opens new opportunities in their lives. To do this we need your used sports shoes WASHED and DRIED and TIED TOGETHER please. We will be collecting shoes at the finish of the race so please remember to bring them along and thanks very much for your support. |
